Christmas 80Unfortunately, I have not been able so far to locate my 1980 Christmas Letter. However, this was a very important year for me, the year that I moved to St. Louis and took an apartment at 4951 Laclede Ave. #1E. My photo album shows pictures of various people in my mobile home in the first part of the year: Ellen Obrien, Don Busch Jr., John and Nicki McClusky and Ben,and Jim Burgess and friends.
And here is a gold mine. I discovered my photos of the first ever gay pride march in St. Louis, and I had put several of these photos on the internet along with an article of remembrance that I had written, later to be published in the Vital Voice. The article was titled Even Alexander the Great? After this event, I have photos of Mariam Edgar and the Tooker Family coming off of the Delta Queen at the Arch. My sister Vicki, brother-in-law Jerry, and their then two boys visited me and went to the Forest Park Balloon Race that year. There are great pictures of me and Jon Snyder in the Central West End and Forest Park, of me visiting Monty Kindy in Boca Raton, Florida, of me, Gilbert, Richard, and Byron in drag, gay parties at my apartment and a visit to my folks and relatives in Marietta, Ohio.
