Blue-green ball

© 1982 by Jim Andris

There's a blue-green ball spinning in space,
And it's been a home for the human race
Since ages and eons ago.
And it's not too cold, and it's not too hot,
And it's not a lot, but it's all we've got,
And I'm thinking maybe we should take it slow.
'Cause I have seen some changes that are coming on the scene.
The blue looks kind of murky, and we're cutting down the green.
We have dressed up in our business suits and jungle army clothes,
And we've done our best to bring the world to blows.

There's a blue-green ball whirling in space,
It can be a home for the human race
For ages and eons to come.
A home for the Arabs, a home for the Jews,
For the black, brown, white, red and yellow, too.
It can be a rainbow of colors, not a slum.
'Cause we can work together just as quick as we can fight.
There isn't any secret what can make the day from night.
If we fill our hearts with loving, we can fill the earth with light.
With an incandescent glow.

There's a blue-green ball travelling through time
To an earth of peace from a world of crime.
Since ages and eons ago.
And it's not too big, and it's not too small,
And it's not too much, just a blue-green ball,
But I'm thinking maybe we should take it slow
And bring back to our Ball Her blue-green glow.
Just a blue-green ball spinning in space.
Just a blue-green ball whirling in space.
Travelling through time.
