Jim Andris' Gay Humor

Everyone knows of the association of gay humor with camp. These are not camp songs, however, as much as light-hearted treaments of some serious gay experiences: adventure and cruising, sexual fantasy, and the frequent association of gay with sissy. There is also a lot of humor in some of my gay ballads, especially Tyrannosaurus sex, What about us? and Glenda. Other parodies not included treat cynicism about gay dating and the for many gays miserable holidays.

  • A mostly veridical treatment of aspects of the first time I went to San Francisco in 1976.
  • A very naughty exercise in sexual fantasy while driving from San Francisco to Reno. Not nearly so veridical. (I'd like to make love to a cowboy.)
  • I am a new age fairy, or at least I was in the 1980s! The sissy boy lashes out!
