Lyrics

shoreline daydreaming
sun on the water's gleaming
locusts are screaming
you can find their shells stuck to the bark

grass faded yellow
just met the nicest fellow
both of us feeling mellow
at the lake of the ozarks state park

men facing men
hand in hand in a circle stand
sharing and loving
and the feeling is simply grand

tommy and jim
skinny dip in a midnight swim
warm breeze dries them
lake-reflected full moon lights the dark

i'm up at sunrise
playing guitar to the sky's eyes
hugging an oak ten times my size
saturday at the men's festival

i read a book
while there's guys in the kitchen cooking
others stand looking
at the schedule that's tacked to the wall

afternoon workshops
are helping us understand
that rainbow vibrations
are flowing from every man

night fire; logs slanting
men in a circle, chanting
pagans incanting
flute is following nature's call

dawn clouds are greying
tree-filtered rays displaying
ed in a lotus, praying
on a mat at the edge of the woods

some walk in pairs now
baring their night's affairs
still, others staring
show that they have not understood

hot midday sun
spurs a genuine dialogue
as men, straight and gay
try to rise above silent fog

dinner is ending
road that is rough and bending
three friends are homeward wending
full of memories and feeling so good
