Lyrics

We are assembled to honor this man,
To give him homage the best that we can.
Ron was a quiet man, the kind you'd like to know.
Still, he had a wisdom that he didn't often show.

I got to know him late in his life,
After a year filled with turmoil and strife.
He never complained about the way his fortune turned,
For deep in his heart a true faith burned.

It is this faith that can help us face tomorrow.
It is this faith that is from the Bible read.
It is the faith that Jesus died to save us,
And he waits for one and all beside their bed.

And we the living stand at his grave
Sadly recalling the love that he gave.
Ron was a peaceful, caring presence in our lives.
This we remember as our parting time arrives.
