I
hate you
© 1964 by Jim Andris
I hate you.
Tell me what we're going to do.
Every time you come in sight
And look at me, I feel like fighting.
We're all through.
You hate me
With a hate that even children can see.
Smiles that once with sex were powered
Now reveal that you're a coward.
Set me free.
When we started out together,
Troubles parted for me,
And whether you knew it or not,
I was prepared to marry you,
But now I'd like to bury you,
And all I can say
Is wait for the day
You fall down.
I hope I'm there to harden the ground.
Future's growing mighty thin.
As people say, it's sink or swim.
I hope you drown.
