There's
a plot afoot

There's a plot afoot, a broad conspiracy
To make man to be just like he ought to be.
This position makes so little sense to me,
For he ought to be just what he is.
It's the search for truth that man deliniates.
When he knows the truth then he disintegrates.
He's a problem-solver, and he always hates
To be told the answer to the quiz.
If you know the answers, please shut up!
Drink your knowledge from your empty cup,
Then just turn from me and start to walking straight,
Straight for what you think is surely heaven's gate,
Walk on straight apast this life of suffering great
For foolish hell.
Please forgive my sounding metaphysical,
But religious people seem so quizical.
They somehow unobserve the physical
And observe what isn't there to see.
And philosophers irreprehensible
Take their structures to be something sensible.
But meaning isn't future-tensible
So it's the tearing down that's fun for me.
If you know the answers, please don't tell!
Shove 'em up your rear and go to hell!
Please just turn from me and start to walking straight,
Straight for what you think is surely heaven's gate,
Walk on straight apast this life of suffering great
For foolish hell.
