I Started To Think of You Again Today

written by Jim Andris, 1977

I started to think of you again today.
I though all those feelings had long since gone away.
There's no reason for me to cry
Cause I'm seeing another guy,
But the afternoon sky of blue has turned to grey.

I can't let this happen, I thought, I've got my pride.
But these feelings keep welling up from deep inside.
Oh, I've got to put on a smile
'Cause I'm seeing him in a while,
Or maybe I'm going out; I can't decide.

I'm remembering the things we used to share.
I see the loving in your eyes, the sunlight on your hair.
And now they're just the things I never get to do.
I've never been so blue.
I'm really missing you.

I'm writing a note that says "I'll be home late."
I'm hating myself, but it must be fate.
So I'm wishing that you'll be home,
And I'm praying you'll be alone,
And I'm hoping that everything will be OK.
Yes, I'm hoping that everything will be OK.
